About Us

On November 7, 2004, 16 firefighters from fire departments in Montgomery County, met at Goodwill Steam Fire Engine Company #1 in Pottstown to form a new chapter of the Red Knights International Motorcycle Club. (Read original flyer distributed to local area.) Following this meeting, we applied for a charter.

Our charter was approved on November 22, 2004, with the official name of The Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Pennsylvania Chapter 17 - Pottstown, or Pennsylvania 17 for short.

Currently, we have 23 Active members, 2 Social members and 1 Honorary member from the following fire departments in Pennsylvania:

• Ringing Hill Fire Company - Lower Pottsgrove, PA (Montco Station 59)

• Philadelphia Steam Fire Engine Company No. 1 - Pottstown Borough, PA (Montco Station 69B)
• Empire Hook & Ladder Company - Pottstown Borough, PA (Montco Station 69C)
• North End Fire Company - Pottstown Borough, PA (Montco Station 69D)
• Trappe Fire and Ambulance Co. No. 1 - Trappe Borough, PA (Montco Station 77)

• North Coventry Fire Department - Pottstown (North Coventry), PA (Chesco Station 64)
• Phoenixville Fire Department Canine Search & Rescue - Phoenixville, PA (Chesco Station 66)

In addition to motorcycling, we promote motorcycle safety, project a positive image of motorcycle enthusiasts, enjoy the Fraternity of Firefighters, and contribute to local charities.
